Maloney Splits Battle With Rosengarten
Brock Maloney found himself involved in consecutive hands with Robert Rosengarten, one of the more cheerful and friendly players remaining in the field.
Rosengarten previously got Maloney to fold in the big blind with 10?10? on a flop of 2?6?5? by firing a bet, and then the two engaged in a battle once again on the very next hand.
With Maloney now in the small blind, Rosengarten raised in late position. The button folded, Maloney flatted, and the big blind got out of the way to bring heads-up action.
Hes a nice guy, Rosengarten said of Maloney as the dealer put down a flop of 6?3?6?. The remark brought smiles and chuckles from the table.
Maloney checked the flop, and Rosengarten bet, only to see Maloney make a check-call. The turn brought out Q?, which slowed the action as both players checked. The dealer placed K? hit the river, and Maloney bet into Rosengarten, who appeared anguished as he looked at his cards.
Over cards, Rosengarten said as he folded J?J? face up.
