The 2019 World Series of Poker is in full swing as we enter Day 2 of Event #6: $2,500 Limit Mixed Triple Draw. Cards will be in the air at 2 p.m. local time this afternoon as the remaining 112 players will take their seats to continue their quest for $160,447 and a WSOP gold bracelet.
Day 1 saw a lot of action as 296 entrants joined throughout the day. When the dust settled, Jake Schwartz found himself atop the leaderboard with 117,600. Julien Martini was right there with him, bagging 117,400, but the two men will have some highly skilled players hunting them down.
Another player to make Day 2 was Brandon Shack-Harris, who bagged 74,300. Other notable players to make Day 2 include Layne Flack (66,200), Benny Glaser (64,100), Jeff Lisandro (53,700), and 2018 WSOP Player of the Year Shaun Deeb (36,700).
Players will return to blinds of 600/1,200 and limits of 1,200/2,400 and play 10 one-hour levels with 15-minute breaks every two levels. There will be a one-hour dinner break after Level 16.
Of the remaining 112 players, 45 will make it in the money and receive at least $3,737 for their efforts. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor providing coverage for the rest of the tournament.
