Baker's Ten-Eight Good Enough
David Baker was under the gun and raised to 500. Brett Richey was in the big blind and reraised to 2,000. Baker made the call. On the draw, Baker stood pat after Richey drew one. Both players then checked.
Baker spread a ten-eight and Richey couldn't beat it. He lost a third of his starting stack while Baker chipped up to about 9,700.
