After the hand, Tony G smilingly commented on Veldhuis' decision to gamble with K-Q. "Now, king-jack, that would have been nice," said Tony G. "That would have been a Ralph Perry."
The G was alluding of course to a certain televised hand from the 2006 Intercontinental Poker Championship involving Perry. That hand elicited some commentary as well, some of you may recall.
Tony G now has 880,000, and Veldhuis 1.8 million.
