The Fight for the 2024 WSOPC Playground Main Event Ring Starts at 11 a.m.
The 2024 World Series of Poker International Circuit continues here at Playground with the first day of Event #8: $1,700 No Limit Holdem Main Event. The eighth of 15 WSOP-C ring events will look to crown its first Circuit Main Event Champion since Joe Pellegrino won the event all the way back in 2019 for a cool $300,000.
This year, the WSOP is putting a massive $1,500,000 guarantee on the Main Event and it is anyone's for the taking. Along with the prize money the eventual winner will also take home the coveted Gold Circuit ring and earn a ticket into the 2024 Tournament of Champions!
Today, Canada's best will descend on Playground Poker Club to compete in Day 1a of the Main Event, which kicks off at 11:00 a.m. local time. There will be two more starting flights on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, both at 11:00 a.m. That will be followed by Day 2 on Sunday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. and Day 3 on Monday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m.

Playground's cardroom has a history of producing some of the top Canadian poker talent and there is a real chance that part of the old guard could snag the ring. There is also a chance that a young pro comes in to claim their thrown as the newest player to fear in the two-card streets. Either way they will be playing for big bucks and a ton of braging rights.
