Table of Death
In a small field like this one today, there aren't a ton of stacked tables. For the most part, we recognize at most two players at each table. However, one table in particular has caught our eye.
Seat 2: Michael Souza- Souza has been a grinder on the WSOP-Circuit for a few years now, and he's had some good results to show for it. Just last week, Souza was taking winner photos here at Rincon after winning Event #2 $365 No-Limit Hold'em for $12,718. This was Souza's fourth ring, and he is in hot pursuit of another table mate of his, Alex Masek.
Seat 5 Jeff Madsen: Jeff Madsen's results in poker speak for themselves. The young pro stormed onto the scene in 2006, winning two gold bracelets on his way to a player of the year campaign. Madsen has been grinding the tournament circuit since, and recently, he finished 6th at the WPT Legends of Poker in Los Angeles for $75,000.
Seat 7: Alexandru Masek: The aformentioned Masek is in the seven seat of this table, and he is a player that his table hates to see. Masek made history last week when he became the third person to win five WSOP Circuit Rings. Masek also knows what it's like to make a deep run in the Circuit Main Events, as he claimed 2nd in the event at the Bike in January for over $100,0000.
Seat 8: Casey Stewart- Stewart might not be a household name, but he is well known by many poker grinders in Southern California. Stewart has been a fixture at tournaments all year long, with two wins under his belt, as well as a 3rd place showing in the 6-max event here at Rincon. On his career, Stewart has over $275,000 in live tournament earnings.
