The U.S. Poker Open $100,000 Main Event Starts Today!
There has been over a week of the poker community having the best in the world battle it out on live-streamed final tables during this years U.S. Poker Open, and the most anticipated tournament starts today in Event #10: $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event at the PokerGo studio just outside of the ARIA Resort & Casino.
Last years main event had a smaller buy in of $50,000 but all the same caliber of player, with the first USPO man event winner being Keith Tilston for a payday of $660,000. Tilston took down the likes of Jake Schindler, Daniel Negreanu, Tom Marchese, and Dan Smith on his way to victory during the final day of the 2018 USPO.
This years current points leader is Stephen Chidwick, who happens to also be the reigning 2018 USPO champion. Chidwick has already made four final tables during this series, winning two of them, and has $705,950 in earnings. He has many close competitors on his tail as the main event kicks off today, look for him to bring his best game as he tries for another USPO title.

The final table of Event #9: $50,000 No'Limit Hold'em is still underway, headlining and also leading in that event is Sean Winter, who has now made five final tables of series and is currently sitting second on the points leader board. Winter will need a third place finish to tie Chidwick for the lead, and second or first will lock him alone at the top of the food chain.
Players will begin with 200,000 in starting chips and be playing 40-minute levels with the night ending after 14 levels of play. There are no tournament fees for players who register by the 2 p.m. PST start time and each player is allowed one re-entry through the first ten levels. There is also a 30-second shot clock in play for the duration of the tournament and each player will receive three 60-second time banks each day.
