The hijack opened to 1,000 and saw Efrain Carabeo call on the button. The small blind also called to take action three ways to a flop of 
. The small blind led out with a bet of 1,400 and the hijack folded before Carabeo called.
Action was then heads up as the turn dropped 
, and the small blind led for another 3,300. Carabeo thought for about 20 seconds and then put in a raise to 7,000. The small blind then thought for a few moments himself and threw in chips to call.
The river came 
and the small blind quickly announced a check. Carabeo took another 20 seconds or so to act before throwing out a bet of 15,000, which the small blind immediately called.

"Well, that beats a flush!" said the small blind, showing his second-best hand of 
and the pot was sent Carabeo's way.
