WPT Announces Prime Cyprus Stop w/ $1M Guaranteed Championship
The World Poker Tour (WPT) is expanding its Season XXII schedule with a brand-new festival taking place in Cyprus this fall. The WPT Prime Cyprus festival, running Aug. 15-26 at the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa, will include a $1,100 buy-in Prime Championship event with a $1 million guarantee.
��As we continue our globetrotting mission to spread poker around the world, we��re proud to introduce Cyprus to the 2024 schedule,�� WPT CEO Adam Pliska said in a press release. ��The great Chamada Prestige will host the first-ever WPT venture in the beautiful island country.��
The WPT Prime Cyprus Championship will take place Aug. 22-26, while the rest of the series will feature various side events.
