Barnard Wins Big on the Bubble

Level 16
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The hand-for-hand on the bubble was supposed to take place but there was a big hand unfolding on table ten, after a rather simple limped pot to the 10?9?8? flop. That's when it all came to an explosion with Gilbert Tin Fook as initial limper all-in, as was Richard Barnard in the small blind.
Both were covered by Colin Horgan, who had flopped the bottom end of the straight!
Richard Barnard: K?J?
Gilbert Tin Fook: J?10?
Colin Horgan: 7?6?
The J? turn gave Tin Fook hope with two pair and the Q? river improved Barnard to a king-high straight for the triple up. For the side pot, the board played and Tin Fook escaped from elimination.
