The Rounder
"Played tight for an hour, folded mostly then I made a score," Rounders Character Mike McDermott once famously said, talking about a game with Johnny Chan at the Taj.
But it might as well have been former PokerNews Managing Editor and current Fantasy Wired bossman Brett Collson, a Buffalo local who turned up to play today, and appeared to do exactly that, playing mostly tight until he just pushed all in from the button over one active foe's 2,500 chip open.
Collson's opponent passed, allowing him to move back around the 15,000-chip mark and return to what appears to be the World Series of Folding.
"I had nothing, but he raised and I decided I don't care about the money, I'm just going to out play the guy, I'm going to out play this guy, this hand," again McDermott, but we can reasonably infer that's what Collson was thinking, at the very least.
