A Champion Will be Crowned in the 2020 SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 Main Event
One of the most-sought after titles in the world of online poker will be awarded today as the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] will determine a champion as of 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
The lion's share of the $6,090,000 prize pool is still up for grabs and nine players out of 609-entry strong field remain in contention for the top prize of $1,062,966.47, all finalists already have $95,745.15 locked up so far.
Eight different countries are represented on the final table and Pieter "XMorphineX" Aerts sits at the top of the counts with a stack of 38,539,059. The Belgian knows what it feels like to run deep in flagship tournaments on PokerStars as he finished 6th in the 2019 WCOOP Main Event for a payday of $306,624. Aerts also topped the WCOOP-13-M: $530 NLHE Sunday Million SE prior to that in the 2019 series for a $202,421 prize.
Second in chips is High Roller regular Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress with 28,570,379 followed by Pablo "pabritz" Brito in third place with a stack of 20,514,267. 2019 SCOOP champion Brito clinched victory in the $10,300 MILLIONS South America Main Event for $1,000,000 earlier this year and also took down the inaugural online edition of the Irish Open for �462,100.
Another big name on the final nine is two-time WSOP bracelet winner Michael "imluckbox" Addamo who returns with the fourth-biggest stack of 18,739,553. Poker streamer and founder of the Raise Your Edge (RYE) coaching platform Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle has 12,283,432 at his disposal while "Alexgirs" (11,783,439), Dublin-based WSOP bracelet winner Max "goodeh99" Silver (8,647,301), Alex "dynoalot" Difelice (8,594,592) and Finland's "EEE27" (4,577,978) make up the rest of the final table line-up.
The RYE community will be on the edges of their seats and while Rolle won't be streaming with hole cards exposed on a delay, the poker fans can enjoy live stream with commentary on Twitch.
