It's Day 2 of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2018 Main Event
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2018 Main Event has moved on to Day 2 with 324 of the 571 entries still left on the felt. Registration does remain open until the start of play today which will see cards get in the air at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island at noon local time.
The top of the chip counts are dominated by Day 1b survivors with Norwegian Jean Ateba leading the way. Ateba brings forward a stack of 155,500, slightly ahead of American Michael Vela who just missed out on the honors bagging 153,600.
[Removed:240] (148,200), Timur Toktabayev (141,500), and Gianluca Speranza (141,200) round out the top five spots entering playing on Day 2. The top Day 1a survivor on the counts is Brazil��s Affif Prado who returns to action after a days rest with 137,500.
Lead by Jake Cody, PokerStars will be well represented on the felt today though most of them have a lot of work to do. Cody mustered a stack of 106,000 and currently holds the bragging rights over Andre Akkari (63,400), Barry Greenstein (62,700), Liv Boeree (44,000), and Kevin Martin (39,900).
A number of notable names and familiar faces are still in the hunt including Victor Ramdin (119,700), Christopher Kruk (112,400), Oleksii Khoroshenin (111,000), Jonathan Jaffe (100,400), Nick Petrangelo (100,000), Koray Aldemir (80,800), and Shawn Buchanan (77,600).
The plan for Day 2 is to play through Levels 9-13 which will be 90 minutes with a 20-minute break after each level. Once the day kicks off and registration closes, the official numbers will be tallied and the prize pool and payout structure will be released.
Day 2 will feature a cards-up live-stream kicking off about 30 minutes after play begins.
