Welcome to Day 1b of the 2015 Master Classics of Poker Main Event
The second starting day of the 4,000 + 250 LIDO Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker at the Holland Casino is scheduled to get underway in half an hour from now at 14:00 local time. In yesterday's first flight, 100 entries were generated and 44 survivors made it through to Day 2 with Rens Feenstra leading the pack at 149,100 chips.
Plenty of notables already booked their seat for tomorrow, however a bumper field of pros and amateurs alike is expected back at the tables today. Especially the High Rollers, who determined their winner of the 10,000 buy-in last night in Kuljinder Sidhu, will be represented with such familiar names as 2012 MCOP champion Ole Schemion, Jani Sointula and Elliot Smith. Senh Ung, Timothy Adams, Paul Newey and even Steve O'Dwyer are also among the likely contenders for the Main Event title here in the Netherlands as well.
All players that busted on Day 1a and didn't bag up chips are welcome to reenter for the second flight. Furthermore, all participants can purchase a second bullet throughout the nine scheduled levels of one hour each should they run out of the 30,000 chips entirely. The overall prize pool will only be known after the start of Day 2 as the reentry period remains open until the first card is dealt on Wednesday.
The PokerNews live reporting team will bring you fresh news directly from the tables, so make sure to check in often. For Twitter updates, the official hashtag of the event on Twitter is #MCOP.
