Ian Simpson and John Ward were involved in a pot of 6,500. Ward bet 3,000 on the flop of after a check from Simpson. Simpson called the bet and the
turn was dealt.
Ward now raised the stakes to a sizable 11,400 after another check from Simpson. Again, the former champion obliged with a call and the river hit the felt.
Simpson checked once more and Ward instantly put Simpson all-in for his remaining 61,000 chips. Simpson counted his stack but found the bet too large to look up and folded his hand.
