Martin Stausholm Eliminated in 18th Place (10,175); Giedrius Breive Eliminated in 17th Place (10,175)
On Table 2, Gerard Cortes opened to 100,000 from the small blind and was called by Martin Stausholm from the big blind.
Stausholm called bets of 50,000 and 100,000 for the final board to show . Cortes then jammed as the bigger stack and Stausholm went into the tank.
While that hand took place, there was an all-in and a call on Table 1. Giedrius Breive put his last 460,000 from the small blind, and Georgi Sandev called on his direct left. The dealer told the players to keep their cards face down until there was a call of a fold from Satusholm, as he was still mulling over his options.
Back on Table 2, Stausholm found the call, and the cards were tabled. Stausholm had the for bottom pair but was eliminated as Cortes had the for two pair, eights and fours. Stausholm was the start-of-day chip leader but became one of first few to leave.
As that hand concluded, Sandev and Breive tabled their cards.
Giedrius Breive:
Georgi Sandev:
Sandev superior ace was enough to secure the pot and the bust out, as neither player connected on the runout.
As there was a pay jump between 18th and 17th place, but both players were eliminated simultaneously, it was declared that they would share their payouts equally.
