Testy Table
Paul Hoefer was in the small blind and bet 2,300 into a pot of about 8,000 against a couple of opponent. The board read and only Gaby Livshitz, in early position, called. On the river, Hoefer checked. Livshitz thought for a couple of minutes in silence and the players across the table began to voice their annoyance.
"This is the slowest table I've ever played at," one player said.
"Every fucking hand," his neighbor chimed in.
One of them called for time, and before the countdown could start, Livshitz bet 5,600. Hoefer paid it off, and the German bracelet winner could not beat .
A discussion about the pace of play continued after the hand, with Livshitz's neighbor voicing support by saying Livshitz hadn't taken much time on most of his decisions.
