Three Handed Play Briefly Becomes Heads Up
Play can begin as soon as three players have joined the table and thats exactly whats happening on Table 23 where Niall Farrell from the UK, Vitaly Lunkin from Russia and Vit Blachut from Czech Republic are the only players twenty minutes in. Following a button raise from Blachut and a defence from Farrell in the small blind, they saw a heads up flop of . Farrell, first to act, took the initiative and led out. It was enough to take the pot. A couple of hands later roles were reversed with Blachut in the small blind leading out on a flop of getting the fold from Farrell.
On the next hand Farrell was involved in a hand with Lunkin when the Russians phone went off. Facing a bet he promptly mucked his cards and left the table. For the next few hands Blachut and Farrell took turns raising in position to take advantage of the absent player, the action continues as the stack of Lunkin is still in play. No big pots developed over the next few minutes however and Lunkin soon returned to his seat where he was on the button, looked at his cards, and mucked in mock disgust having bled a few blinds.
