Jason Somerville was in trouble after he pushed the button for about 70,000 and was called by Eric Mutrie. Somerville showed the powerhouse against Mutrie's , but Somerville's two live cards connected with a board of to give him a double-up to 155,000.
Anthony Venturini was also the recipient of a bad-beat double-up after running his kings into the pocket aces of an opponent (whose ID tag was missing). It was a king on the turn for Venturini. When the stacks were counted down, Venturini's 429,000 was doubled by his opponent, who was left with just 5,000 chips and busted on the next hand.
