199 players came out to play the Bar Poker Open Pro-Am at the Golden Nugget Casino and the final nine return today to compete for the title and the first prize of $44,086 with Ryan Hiller (955,000) leading the pack. This event always played in the highest spirits and saw a range of Bar Poker Open qualifiers, Golden Nugget cash game promotion winners, and many well-known pros duke it out over 19 levels on Day 1.
Household names such as Ryan Depaulo, Veronica Brill, Ana Marquez, Rob Kuhn, Garry Gates and Conrad Simpson were but a few of the invited pros that attended but sadly came up short of the cash. One invited pro that had better fortune was Joey Ingram, who ran up a stack before ultimately coming short, finishing sixteenth place for a $2,719 payday.
