2024 WSOP Day 31 $25K Fantasy Sweats – Big Points Coming from $50K PPC Finale
Day 31 of the 2024 WSOP will see Event #58: $50,000 Poker Players Championship play down to a winner. Just five players remain, and of those the top four stacks are $25K Fantasy players –Chris Brewer (Team The Dinkers), Daniel Negreanu (Team DPMC), Dylan Smith (Team Chingas), and Bryce Yockey (Team The Dinkers). The only other player still alive is David Benyamine, albeit on the extreme short stack. Later today one of those players will walk away with one of the most prestigious titles in all of poker and a $1,178,703 first-place prize.
Just 13 players remain in Event #60: $3,000 NLH, though none of them are $25K Fantasy players. Similarly, Event #62: $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship is down to the final 60 players from a 5,110-entry field but none are draftees, and the same cane be said of the final six in Event #63: $1,500 NL 2-7 Lowball Draw. David “ODB” Baker (Team TheCoffeeBreakers) was the last $25K Fantasy player in that tournament busting in seventh place for $14,030.
Event #64: $600 NLH Deepstack began with 5,271 entries, but only 283 return for Day 2. Of those, only two players are in the $25K Fantasy league – Koray Aldemir (Team Kalas) and Nick Guagenti (Team Baker), both of who are sitting decent chip-wise.
Finally, Event #66: $10,000 PLO Championship will see a couple hundred players return to action including a plethora of $25K Fantasy players including but not limited to Jim Collopy (Team Girl Dads), Josh Arieh (Team TheCoffeeBreakers), Michael Mizrachi (Team TheCoffeeBreakers), Alex Foxen (Team Sepiol), and Christian Harder (Team TheCoffeeBreakers).
Remember, PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates, and have even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.
