PokerStars Tries Again: $10 Million Sunday Million on April 22

PokerStars celebrated its 12th anniversary of the Sunday Million in February by increasing the guarantee to a lofty $10 million.

Despite the tournament attracting a massive field of 43,975 entrants, it failed to meet its guarantee providing players that cashed with a huge $1.2 million in overlay. Brazil's "Hulk9950" was able to take the most advantage and claimed the top prize of $960,000 as part of a three-way deal.

PokerStars is going to roll the dice once again and challenges itself to surpass a $10 million guarantee next month. On April 22 at 2 p.m. ET, the online poker room will be hosting the $215 Sunday Million, Take 2, $10M Gtd where $1 million and a PSPC Platinum Pass valued at $30,000 is guaranteed to the winner.

As is always the case for its big tournaments, PokerStars is hosting a plethora of satellites for the Take 2 event where players can get in for a fraction of the cost.

In the lobby now, tournaments and sit-and-go's ranging in buy-ins from $2.20 to $22are running, each guaranteeing seats to the big event.

To help celebrate this event, PokerStars has also introduced limited-edition Spin & Go's where for a $5 buy-in players can potentially be playing for a $1 million prize pool.
