Christopher Vernon is Victorious at 888poker Live Local London
Aspers Casino in Stratford, London played host to the 888poker Live Local London festival last week, which included an ��88,000 guaranteed Main Event.
The ��88,000 guaranteed 888poker Live Local London Main Event only cost ��220 to enter, which meant it needed 440 entries in order to hit the guarantee. Not only was the guarantee met, it was blown out of the water thanks to 529 unique entrants and 258 reentries, who created a ��155,825 prize pool.
Seventy-two places were paid in total with a min-cash worth ��470 and a final table appearance weighing in at ��2,935.
Christopher Vernon was the man who came out on top when all was said and done. Vernon was part of a five-way deal that saw Alexis Savvides (��14,560), Pantelis Christodoulou (��13,130), Richard Hasnip (��18,500) and Phillip Marsh (��15,210) all collect sizable sums.

Vernon��s prize, in addition to the winner��s trophy and bragging rights, was ��19,670. This represents Vernon��s second-largest live poker tournament score because he collected a massive ��120,000 for being the runner-up in the 2015 Sky Poker UK Poker Championships which Fraser Bellamy won.
This was the final 888poker Live event of the current year, and while 888poker is yet to announce the stops for its 2018 tour, it is highly likely there will be around a dozen events planned.
