YouStake Performance of the Week: Benny Glaser Wins Two in One Week
A new feature on PokerNews, the YouStake Performance of the Week will be coming at you each and every week this summer, on Friday, and is designed to highlight great performances on the felt from Las Vegas during the 2016 World Series of Poker.
YouStake.com is a fully integrated sports staking platform that allows the masses to invest in skilled sports players for entry in live events. The company recently made headlines when it acquired the poker staking platform TastyStakes.com.
This weeks YouStake performance of the week goes to someone who has been making this author eat crow all Series long, and thats Benny Glaser.
A couple years ago Glaser was an unknown to the poker world. Now, the man from the UK has three WSOP gold bracelets, including winning two of them this year. Glaser first won the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low event for $244,103, then followed it up with a win in the championship version of the tournament the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low for $407,194.
Each tournament win is a great accomplishment in itself, but its the combination of these two victorious in less than a week that gives Glaser the YouStake Performance of the Week.
In the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low event, Glaser beat a big field of 934 players. The final table was a tough one, with the likes of Phil Hui, Brandon Shack-Harris, Ilya Krupin, and Max Pescatori involved.
In the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low tournament, Glaser beat a final table that included Matt Glantz, Robert Campbell, [Per Hildebrand[/B], Todd Brunson, Jason Mercier, and Felipe Ramos. In that event, he beat 163 entries.
The reason why yours truly has been eating crow on Glaser is because I named him Team Calvin's worst selection in the 25K Fantasy draft. Glaser went for $30 in the auction draft out of nowhere, but hes certainly doing work. With his success, Glaser currently sits second in the WSOP Player of the Year race behind only Mercier.
Congratulations to Glaser for being named the YouStake Performance of the Week.
