PPC Aruba World Championship To Award 50% Rakeback On Re-Entries
Taking place Oct. 2-9, 2013, the Players Poker Championship Aruba World Championship will once again have the cards in the air down on the island of Aruba in what many would call paradise. The series will play host to eight feature events including the $2,500 Main Event, Oct. 5-9, that boasts a $200,000 guarantee. The entire series boasts $250,000 in guarantees.
On Monday, the PPC released another perk to entice players that are playing in the Main Event. With a re-entry format, the PPC will award players that re-enter by giving them 50% rakeback credit to be used at any PPC Poker Tour stop. With a buy-in of $2,250 and entry fee of $250, that means $125 tournament credit will be granted to each player that re-enters.
"The PPC Poker Tour was built by players, for the player. A poker player is his or her own business and entries can get expensive. By giving players that re-enter the PPC Aruba $2,500 Main Event $125 back toward entries into other PPC tour stops, players can invest back into themselves and minimize costs," said Sandy Swartzbaugh, Co-Commissioner for the PPC. "The PPC Poker Tour will have 15-20 stops in 2014, making it one of the larger tours in the world."
The PPC Aruba World Championship will take place at the beautiful Radisson Aruba Resort, and the festival will open with a $550 buy-in, $40,000 guaranteed event and close out with a $350 buy-in, $10,000 guarantee bounty event. All events start at 3 p.m. local time, so players can enjoy the beautiful Aruba beach and everything else the island has to offer.
"The PPC Poker Tour was founded to approach the poker world with an eye to players needs," added Bryan Oulton, Co-Commissioner for the PPC. "This groundbreaking approach to re-entries will assist the touring pro and amateur alike. Anyone who fires that second bullet or more into the PPC Aruba Main Event will do so knowing that besides another chance to win the tournament, theyre also giving themselves $125 towards future PPC Poker Tour stops."
