Online Poker Recap: Armstrong, Pezzin Claim Wins
Final tables loaded with top talent and recognizable stars marked the Full Tilt $1K Monday and the PokerStars Super Tuesday, getting the online poker world off to a fine start to the week. The Stars Super Tuesday saw a tight four-way chop close out the meaningful portion of the action, with Pat "TorontoToro" Pezzin officially winning top honors. At Full Tilt on Monday, Jamie "pokerjamers" Armstrong walked away with the win and the biggest cash of the two nights, at $105,000. Highlights from the action follow:
PokerStars Super Tuesday
The <a rel=nofollow href="https://www.deadgamerecords.com/ext/239">PokerStars</a> Super Tuesday attracted 416 poker players, creating a total prize pool of $416,000. Among the best finishers just shy of the final table were ely_cash41 in 10th place ($5,408), Geoff "GeoffRas22" Rasmussen in 11th ($5,408), Benjamin "xthesteinx" Zamani in 12th ($5,408), Russell "rdcrsn" Carson in 13th ($4,576), Adam "ASPoker8" Shuman in 14th ($4,576), backmanlivs in 16th ($3,744), Anthony "D1rtyR1v3r" Nardi in 17th ($3,744), Evan "PURPLE "K" 99" Parkes in 19th ($2,704), Luke "LukeFromB13" Staudenmaier in 26th ($2,704) and Soren "Kongsgaard" Kongsgaard in 28th ($2,496). Eliminated first was Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka at the 2,000/4,000/400 level. On the button he went all in for 55,042 with A?8?, but ran into Chris "Money800" Moneymaker's 9?9? in the big blind. The board rolled out 10?6?8?J?K? and Jaka was out in ninth place for $7,072. CPT CRUX bowed out a few hands later after shoving for 23,182 with K?Q?. Pat "TorontoToro" Pezzin picked up A?Q? and isolated the action. The board came 4?2?7?2?7? and CPT CRUX took eighth place for $9,776.
Chris Moneymaker, the 2003 WSOP world champion, exited here at 3,000/6,000/600. He raised to 13,999 from the cutoff and Kevin "KevBoyStar" Stani re-raised to 32,500 from the cutoff. Moneymaker called and the flop came Q?8?7?. Stani led out 45,000 and Moneymaker shoved for 124,086. Stani called with A?K? for two overs and a flush draw and was virtually racing against Moneymaker's 9?8? for middle pair. The A? card put Stani in the lead and the 10? river clinched the hand for Stani. Chris Moneymaker finished in seventh place for $13,936.
PedrinhoxX was eliminated at 4,000/8,000/800 in a huge hand in which Kevin Stani opened to 17,777 on the cutoff. Vivek "psyduck101" Rajkumar re-raised all in for 91,770 and PedrinhoxX went over the top of that all in for 163,036. Stani called with A?K? and was up against Rajkumar's 10?10? and PedrinhoxX's A?Q?. The board ran out 7?10?9?5?3? as Rajkumar won the main pot, nearly tripling his stack. PedrinhoxX busted in sixth place for $18,096. Henchness244 departed later in the level after moving all in for 75,005 with 7?7? and getting action from Jim "BreakRibs" Kilarjian, who held 9?9?. The board rolled out Q?6?3?10?5? and henchness244 was out in fifth place for $23,296.
The remaining four players decided to sit out and call for support in order to arrange a deal. After nearly 30 minutes that deal was agreed upon, guaranteeing each the following:

With all of the remaining prize pool accounted for, the players had pride and tournament leader board points left to play for. Jim Kilarjian went out in fourth place after seeing a 4?2?8? flop with Pat Pezzin. The chips went into the middle with Kilarjian holding K?K? to Pezzin's 5?3?. The K? turn card gave Kilarjian a set, but the A? river made a flush for Pezzin and sent Kilarjian off with $52,689.34. Vivek Rajkumar went out two hands later. He held 10?9? and was all in against Pat Pezzin's A?2?. The board came 2?6?K?K?4? and Rajkumar departed in third for $54,659.11. Kevin Stani finished as the runner-up after getting it all in with top two pair on a board of 6?9?7?. His 9?7? led Pat Pezzin's J?J?, but the turn and river came running queens and gave Pezzin a better two pair to win the tournament. Stani finished in second place for $53,178.89, while Pezzin officially won the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $56,005.65.

From the cutoff, JayJay1 made it 48,000 to go and Cappruccio816 re-raised to 128,000. JayJay1 moved all in with J?J? and Capruccio816 called with A?Q?. Cappruccio816 bowed out at 10,000/20,000/2,000 after losing many chips in a hand against Jamie Armstrong. Cappruccio816 held K?Q? to Armstrong's A?4? and the board came 5?2?5?6?7?. Cappruccio816 was eliminated shortly thereafter in third for $48,300. Heads-up play began with mob6kid holding a slight chip lead over Jamie Armstrong. The battle lasted into the 14,000/28,000/3,500 level before Jamie Armstrong took it down. He built up more than a 2:1 margin and won the tournament on a hand in which he min-raised preflop. A call from mob6kid brought out a K?A?8? flop. Mob6kid checked and Armstrong fired out 58,200 which mob6kid then raised to 140,000. Armstrong shoved and mob6kid called with A?4?, but it was second best to Armstrong's A?Q?. The turn and river came 7? and 3? as mob6kid finished in second place for $65,100, while Jamie "pokerjamers" Armstrong final-table run was worth $105,000.
